Reflection

Today, I learn about what I've learning being in this class for first six weeks. Class was easy, fast, and fun. I got to finish some of my brochure, and do my citations for my brochure also.

1st Six Weeks Reflection

         I'm progressing a lot through this class, I've learn so much with Macs. I've learn so much like editing my photos rotating it, learning to how to do a brochure, making my own blog and avatar, pages and etc. I gained by learning new skills on the Macs, that I never knew how to do before.These things benefits my in the future by, every time I'm working on a project on a Macs, it makes it easier for me to use it, and know how.

Reflection

I think today I did really well, I finish my commenting on my peers, I picked my three best, then I wrote it on my blog. Self - grading my project was really easy, I gave myself a really good grade! The hard part is working on my brochure and researching stuff for my brochure.

So today I worked on my cover page, table of contents, work log, and my bibliography. Posting it on the blog was kind of hard, but I got helped from my friend (Bryan). Working on my Travel Guide was really easy, because I know what to put, and the picture. :) I didn't get to finish my bibliography because I didn't have time, but I know what to do! So overall, I'm glad what I got done!

Accomplishments

Today I think I did well! I have accomplish many things like posting my rough draft on my blog and also posting my thoughts about Brazil. I thought it was pretty easy when i had to post my picture on the my blog, we had to take a picture, but it was backwards and we had to switch it. So pretty much today I thought it was really easy, but at the beginning it was tough because I didn't know what to do. Posting my thought was hard, because I didn't know what to right about. Then after I understood everything and got right to work.

Brazil

I have chose Brazil because I really don't know about this place much and I really want to learn about it. Brazil is a common country, and I think lot of people would want to go there like a tourist. Or I ran out of choice, but its a good excuse to learn about Brazil.

1- What is plagiarism? Any good reasons to avoid it?
Plagiarism is when you copy someone else work, and put it as your own. A good way to avoid is to look at it, and write your own main ideas.

2- What citation format are we using for this project?
The citation format that we're using for this project is Modified Endnote/ Works Cited Page.

1- What is stock photography?
Stock Photography is a supply of photos collected to use instead of hiring a photographer. 

2- Why can't we just use random images off google?
You can't use random images off google, because you don't have permission too, and using someone else image is copyrighted image.




1- What does it mean for an image to be Public Domain?
Public domain are works that currently have no intellectual property rights within the country of your residence.

2- Post a picture you found off a stock photography or public domain site on your blog.

Netiquette 101

Scenario #1 – A student sends a harassing e-mail to another student. The receiving student
retaliates with a “flaming e-mail.” Is this the appropriate response? If not, what would be?

No, it is not a appropriate response, the appropriate response was that student should of ignore the e-mail, or show the e-mail to an adult and let them handle the situation.


Scenario #2 – When hanging out with friends, one of the students makes a call on their cellphone and carries on a conversation while still within the group. Is this auk? Why or why not?

No, it is not okay, because it is really rude!


Scenario #3 – A student logs on to a free file sharing website and downloads a song they just heard on the radio. Is this auk? Why or why not?

No, it is not okay, because if you download and distribute copyrighted music, videos, games or other material over the internet without proper payment and permission, you are stealing.

Scenario #4 – A student follows a questionable link to a website and downloads a malicious script which releases a Trojan Horse virus on to the school network. Is the student to blame? Why or why not?

Yes, the student is to blame, because they shouldn't have downloaded it in the first place.


Scenario #5 – An hour before class, a student remembers that a writing assignment is due. The student goes to the library, logs on to a website, and copies/pastes the information. Is this auk? Why or why not?

No, it is not okay, because it is plagiarism.


Scenario #6 – At home, a student uses a software package to copy movies and games from DVD’s for his or her friends. Is this within fair-use laws? Explain.

No, it is not within fair-use law, because that is illegal!


Scenario #7 – A student logs into the school website to download the syllabus they lost. Are they breaking any rules or laws? Explain.

No, they are not breaking the rules, because its on a school website, and they have permission to download it.


Scenario #8 – Students spend a good amount of time in class creating a web page for a school sponsored fundraiser. However, there website is not usable by certain individuals with disabilities. Was this disrespectful or wrong of them?

It was disrespectful, because the disabilities can't use it.

Why do you think netiquette is important? Why are we suing part of our class time for this?

To teach us about what is right and wrong about using the computer, or online.

Pages Reflection

I got to play on the Pages which was really cool, and I got to do a lot of things on it. Like you can write a letter to someone, and do a school project. You can also change the layout, make flyers, and invitation.  It's just like a Word Presentation, but you can do more stuff to it!

Blog- Self Evaluation

The grade I would give to myself for creating the blog would be 32/32, because I customize my background, templates, layout, and the advanced setting the way I wanted. Also, on my gadgets I did the highest score of my requirement! On my comments, there was a lot of people who commented, my time-zone was changed appropriately,  and I have written my description. I have written three blogs correctly and I thought I did a good job!

Meez Vs. Voki

    I think that Meez.com was much better then Voki, because on Meez it gives you more detail and the animation was pretty good and it was 3D! On Voki it was just really plain it was just a cartoon!
    I also chose Meez, because I used it before in the past, and it was more familiar for me than Voki! There is also alot of features you can do to your Meez! You can change you face, your outfits, and your background! I recommended you use Meez when you do a blog too!

My Computer Hunt Thoughts!

       I thought it was pretty cool, because I got to know more about Macs, and know how it works. I also know where all the stuff in the room is and know my ways around the room! It was kind of hard, but I got help from my friends they made it look very easy so it was fun! There was some words that I didn't understand, so I had to search them up on Google, and I got the answer! So like I said it was fun!

     I thought it was a fun experience, and working it with my friends were really fun!
